In 1995 a good friend of my brother, a man named Terry Troyer, handed me Mr. R's business card, good for 2 free lessons of karate.

At that time I had wanted to learn some martial arts. I had taken free lessons of Tang Soo Do before and didn't really like the concepts of that art, so I went to Mr. R's school located in Stewartstown, PA.

After 2 lessons, I was craving to learn more. After about a year I had moved to the East York location, where I started learning to teach the art.

Two years later, at age 14, I earned my black belt, and continued my journey. Currently, at age 21, I hold the rank of 3rd degree black belt.
